Holiday Party Style Challenge: Blogger Collab

For today’s post, I am super excited to be collaborating with one of my favorite blogger friends, Akinyi from F.I.T.S. on Me, for a special holiday edition style challenge!  Akinyi has such an amazing and unique style perspective!  And with so many fabulous events over the holidays (family get togethers, dinners with friends, parties, etc.), we both thought it would be fun to show our individual takes on dressing for the holiday season!

I absolutely love Akinyi’s look!  It’s ultra chic and perfect for a holiday party!  I especially love her fur jacket!  Such a fun and festive print and the colors are perfect for the holidays!  Be sure to check out her full post here!

For my look, I decided to rock tulle and sequins baby!  Yep!  Nothing says fun more than a tulle skirt!  It just radiates happiness! And we all know that sequins is an absolute must have for any holiday event!  So, put the two of them together and you have the perfect combo for a holiday party!

I have to admit that I really love how this turned out!  I felt like such a girl with it on!  And it definitely put me in the mood for some good holiday fun!

Perfect Party Style: The Feathered Tulle Skirt

Yep, it’s CIAA week in Charlotte!!  Yay!!!  So, what does that mean exactly, you ask?  Well…. 180,000 visitors to the city for the week and tons and tons and TONS of parties.  Parties during the day, parties at night, concerts, comedy shows and lots of celebrity sightings!  This is absolutely the biggest party week in Charlotte all year long.  Oh and I suppose I should mention that there is a CIAA Basketball Tournament going on too!

Of course, fashion and style are at their height during the week’s activities.  You absolutely MUST be at your most fabulous!  In fact,I’m always on the lookout for great looks throughout the year just for this week!  Crazy, right?

Anyway, this feathered tulle skirt is one of the looks that I picked up over the holidays.  It was on my wish list for Christmas and my brother and sister in law bought it for me.  When I added it to the list, I immediately knew it would be perfect for CIAA, it’s such a fun, party girl piece!!
